I’ve been watching the new season of Beauty and the Geek. It’s interesting coz I realized what a geek and bimbo I am. I’m a huge fan of Star Trek but I do spend a lot of my free time reading up (and unfortunately, my bank account) on the latest make-up lines and fashions. Since I’m a Political Science major, I wake up every morning to CNN as well.

I guess I’ve subconsciously known that I’ve always been a mix of everything, which is why I spent most of my high school life trying not to be labeled. I wouldn’t call being ‘label-less’ a blessing because the social cliques that you were a part of in high school will determine the friends you will make and social circles in your adult life. I find myself able to be to relate to everyone but no one able to completely relate to me. Who knew that having many friends and acquaintances could reinforce loneliness? Ah well. C’est la vie, n’est-ce pas?

It’s only been 2.5 weeks and school has already started. I don’t feel fully rested yet. I spent the entire 2006 studying and working. So 2.5 weeks isn’t much. But it was pretty constructive , I guess. I made 3 websites, read 3 Harry Potter books, researched for my pol201 paper and spent time with the boyfriend.

One new class this semester: Political Strategy and Policy Entrepreneurship. It’s about the effectiveness of policies. I can’t wait. First class starts on Thursday. We’ll see how it goes!
